How many Obama supporters showed up to rally for health care reform?
On Sunday September 14, 2009, the day after an estimated 75,000 people marched on the US capital to protest Obama, supporters of health care reform held their own rally. The above photo gives you some indication of the size of the turnout.
It occurs to me that the Obama Administration is being managed by "bean counters." The president behaves as if his strategists have carefully weighed how much each and every policy will cost Democrats in terms of future donations from this industry lobby or that one. The result? Uninspired policies, unmotivated supporters, poorly-attended rallies.
What's true for a growing business must be equally so for a rising political movement. Obama ought to fire his bean-counters before it's too late.
