Western journalists -- often encumbered by language barriers -- talk to them.
This fact prompts Bangkok Pundit to ask: why is it that Thai news media organizations refuse to send their journalists out into the Thai countryside to talk to people? Instead, they seem to "invent monologues about corruption and democracy to pass the time."
