Harry Nicolaides charged by Thailand with lese majeste

Australian writer and university instructor Harry Nicolaides is the latest person to be charged with lese majeste, the crime of defaming the Thai royal family. According to AP Nicolaides was "arrested at Bangkok's international airport as he was about to board a flight home." The article notes that Harry Nicolaides apparently did not know that an arrest warrant had been issued against him in March in connection with a novel he wrote. Reporters Without Borders has issued a statement condemning the arrest. Australian blog New Mandala and Bangkok Pundit have more.
