Sometimes a picture is worth a thousand words. This photo which I cut from a Thai newspaper shows the US Secretary of the Treasury Henry M. Paulson Jr. meeting with Chen Deming, Minister of Commerce for the People's Republic of China.China holds billions of dollars of United States treasury bills, which is to say the Americans are now heavily in debt to the Chinese.
Who's in charge? If the photo is any indication, Hu's in charge.
